While Robert Kubica came sixth in qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix, Nick Heidfeld just missed getting into Q2 when he was 16th in Q1. In hindsight, the decision to stay on the harder tyre compound for his second run in Q1 was too big a risk for him.

I know we talked a lot this week about the Nurburgring race track due to the conflict between Porsche and Nissan, because the Japanese manufacturer says that its GT-R is fast enough to set a lap record of 7 minutes and 29 seconds while the German manufacturer says Nissan is not telling the truth.
