Middle East - General Motors Company today announced its second quarter 2010 results, marked by revenue of $33.2 billion and net income attributable to common stockholders of $1.3 billion, resulting in earnings per share on a diluted basis of $2.55. GM's second quarter earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) was $2.0 billion.

Sales of Cadillac vehicles in the Middle East in the first half of 2010 grew 29% over the same period in 2009, for a total of 1,617 units. This double digit increase in regional sales of Cadillac vehicles outpaced the industry, which experienced an estimated nine percent growth.

Cadillac announced today a 28% increase in total regional sales in Q1 2010. This impressive growth is due to high demand for the all-new SRX luxury crossover vehicle which was successfully launched in the region in January this year, and the continued popularity of both the Escalade full-size utility vehicle and the CTS entry level luxury sedan.

General Motors in the Middle East announced today the appointment of John N. Stadwick to the position of President and Managing Director of GM Middle East Operations. John replaces Mike Devereux, who will take up the position of Chairman and Managing Director of GM Holden Ltd. He will be based at GM Holden's headquarters in Melbourne, Australia. The change is effective immediately.
